- A Drop d’Issey is surprisingly intense. It opens with a rich, creamy almond milk note, with bitter and fresh nuances (and a hint of spicy star anise), but mostly sweet
- Lilac comes next, rounded up by Jasmine. It smells earthy and nectary, subtly green, and like the almond, a bit too sweet – but with a pleasant sense of depth
- The scent, then, is finally wrapped up by a glossy, round, watery-fresh base that’s very Issey Miyake
- As it dries down, A Drop d’Issey becomes more and more floral, with less creamy almond and more lilac
- The glossy fresh base and the overall sweetness remain, secondary but noticeable
